NOT ON MY WATCH

“Not on my watch” is a tribe. It's a movement. It's a promise.

It is a promise to the next generation that things will be different from how it was for us. That we commit, together, to making their mental health and wellbeing a priority. That we, as mothers, fathers, aunties, uncles, teachers, friends, grandparents, caregivers and guardians of the future generations of this country, stand together to say - this changes with us.

The only way to make a real change is together. By helping ourselves, by helping each other when things are tough, so we ourselves are equipped to help the children in our lives realise their full potential.

Why Join?

Knowledge is power, Knowledge shared is power multiplied.

They say it takes a village to raise a child but so many of us feel like we’re out on our own, trying to do things differently to how we were raised ourselves. Not On My Watch is that village. It’s a tribe of like minded parents, guardians and teachers/caregivers who want to help share knowledge and support; as well as shape a better future for children’s mental health in Ireland.

When you join the tribe, you will have access to a community – your village – where together you will learn how to help the children in your lives to be mentally well.

Becoming part of our tribe will give you access to curated content about issues you care about, challenges you face and tools you need; as well as, becoming part of a community of passionate people making a real difference in our society.

Your contribution will fund our A Lust for Life schools programme, reaching 46,020 pupils in 833 schools, and the launch of our youth change-maker programme, launching in 2022. It will also help us to create supports for this community, in the form of:

  • Webinars
  • Curated content e.g. articles, live Q&As with experts, etc
  • Live events
  • Workshops
  • Podcasts
  • And to build a community of other people facing the same challenges as you in raising the next generation.

A Lust For Life Tribe

A Lust for Life is a multi award-winning movement that uses content, campaigns and events to facilitate young people to be effective guardians of their own mind – and be the leaders that drive our society towards a better future

Our vision is a world where humanity is the headline act on the main stage, which we achieve by:

  • Empowering future generations to be effective guardians of their own minds to destroy the stigma that attempted to destroy previous generations
  • Driving a shift in society where we put people first

Through our programmes (A Lust for Life Schools Programme and Gone Past Talking), we enable children and young adults to:

  • Build flexibility and resilience
  • Create space so they can tap into what’s important to them and have the courage and confidence to use their voice
  • Cultivate the skills to challenge and craft the world they want to inherit
  • Form conversations and relationships that are built around listening, empathy and collaboration
  • Develop a set of self-care tools at primary school level, in order to empower and encourage children to mind their own wellbeing now and throughout the ups and downs of life. By equipping children with the skills set to manage their minds, we can collectively drive a generation forward with essential wellbeing tools that most of us were never taught.

Howaya! We hope you’re enjoying A Lust for Life.
While you are here… can we ask you a favour?
We know, pop ups are absolutely no craic. But seeing as you are here anyway, which means you must be a sound head, we thought we’d tap you on the shoulder and ask for your help.

We rely on the generosity of the public to fund our work and so far together we have achieved great things! Please do continue to support us so we can provide future generations in Ireland with the resources to recognise and talk about their emotions, and equip them to navigate the ever-changing world around them as they grow.
