A Lust For Life

Secondary school students: we need your help for the incoming first years

We are looking for any sound souls who are currently in secondary school and are interested in getting involved in an exciting project that will be rolled out around Ireland.

You remember what it was like being the King/Queen of sixth class only to fall over head first into the big pond of secondary school?! Now think what that might be like having missed the last 4 months of 6th class, missing any graduation from your primary school and any form of orientation into your new school due to Covid-19. We want you to help ease that pain for those who are making that move next year!

We want you to send us in your one minute tale of “tips and advice for sixth class students going into first year”! Record the video on your phone sideways (in landscape) and email it to alflschools@alustforlife.com. This video could include some tips that you might have found helpful in 6th class, or perhaps some advice for your first few weeks in secondary school – we are looking for some positive messages for this transition.

The chosen videos will feature in our schools programme, delivered to 5th and 6th class students around Ireland. Your tips and advice could really make a big difference to young people who might be feeling anxious about this transition and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

If you have any questions please do contact our programme manager Leda Connaughton on programmemanager@alustforlife.com
