This is my brother before and after,
Who was once full of fun and laughter, until he became sick,
Then he was so ashamed, and who was to blame?
Mr Minister, and HSE and lack of care are on the list,
We must insist that no more of our children die like this;
How could we help him? We weren’t sure of this,
Only shower him with hugs and love,
And pray to anyone to mind him who had gone before us,
The HSE,the “important” people reassured us there will no more people dying like this,
But this was a lie, and so many more innocent souls have died since,
Leaving families behind who can’t understand what did we do to deserve this?
Why do we have to grieve for our friends and family because of lack of help they should receive?
But in the hospitals not a word would I believe,
“Take these pills , they will put you at ease”
But what about all of the noise in my head? that won’t go away, when I’m at work, when I’m with my pals that swirls around over and over in my head, and gets worse when I’m alone and in bed,
The Doctors, they just don’t listen and don’t understand,
This is what forces people to die by their own hand;
