Easy 10 minute meditation for feeling focused and calm

Taking a few deep breaths is one of the easiest and quickest ways to find relief when you are feeling anxious, stressed or a bit scattered. Our minds are a constant hub of activity and stimulation. Even when we are relaxing or having a quiet moment, we are usually replying to messages on our phones or sending a quick email.

I am not surprised there are such high levels of stress and anxiety these days. Instead of using other quick fixes like nicotine, caffeine or sugar, which in the long-term will only further damage your nervous system, try taking a deep breath. Then every day, try taking ten minutes to breathe deeply. You will feel the benefits instantly and with time it will become easier. You will then crave a deep breath and you can introduce it a few times a day. You don`t need to be sitting on a Yoga mat or in a zen garden. You can do it at work, while you’re driving or before you go to bed. You can take it anywhere with you and it is such a powerful handy tool to have.

There are so many other benefits of taking deep breaths, including a reduction in stress and blood pressure. It will also strengthen your abdominal and intestinal muscles and you will feel relief of general body aches and pains. Deep breathing promotes better blood flow, releases toxins from the body and aids in healthy sleep. This results in an increased energy level. The secret is simply to breathe, deeply and often.

I had suffered from Panic Attacks for over two years and I know how deep breathing can transform your life. If you have moments of stress and you would like to handle it a little better, I strongly recommend using the amazing natural tools you already possess.

Here is a short guided meditation for feeling focused and calm.
